The Ontario Hockey League is looking into the scary incident in which London Knights head coach Dale Hunter was showered with glass during a game Saturday in Windsor.
“The league is in the process of reviewing the circumstances of Saturday’s incident,” officials with the OHL wrote in an email to The Free Press. “We’re very thankful that coach Dale Hunter, his staff and players were unharmed.” Article content Article content
The legendary coach took the brunt of a shattered pane of glass behind the visiting bench at the Windsor Family Credit Union Centre and a video shows him losing his balance and falling forward until he reaches out with his hands to the top of the boards. Spitfires fans behind the Knights bench pounded on the glass to celebrate a Cole Davis shorthanded goal in the t
