NEW MEXICO (KRQE) – The 2025 New Mexico State Fair may be over, but for one young woman, her connection to the fair will stick with her for life. Taylor Rolan of Valencia County was named the 2026 New Mexico State Fair Queen on Sept. 13.

"It's definitely a huge blessing that I won," the 20-year-old said, explaining that it's been her goal since she was 7 years old. "So, the State Fair has always kind of been like the ultimate high goal that was in reach, especially at this young age. There is Miss Rodeo New Mexico and Miss Rodeo America, but those are for older girls. So, the New Mexico State Fair was definitely like a big stepping stone for me coming from Valencia County."
