ORD, Neb. (KOLN) - The Lower Loup NRD recently hosted MUDFEST in Ord, and 4th graders from several schools got a chance to get a little wet and dirty, and learn about the natural world.
We caught up with Lower Loup NRD Information and Education Coordinator Alan Bartels to find out more about this annual celebration of soil and water. “We’ve got children from five different schools here this year, doing sessions in the Lower Loup NRD arboretum here on the edge of Ord,” Bartels said. “We’ve got experts from NRDs and other agencies, teaching kids about the various aspects of water and soil.”
