MADISON (WKOW) — U.S. Rep. Tom Tiffany officially announced his run for Wisconsin governor on Tuesday.

Tiffany, a Republican representing Wisconsin's 7th Congressional District, made the announcement at the start of the "The Dan O'Donnell Show."

"It is a great challenge that is going to be before us, but it is also a great opportunity," Tiffany said on the show. "And we are going to accept that challenge."

Tiffany said he believes he's the best candidate for the job.

"I've served at all three levels of government," Tiffany said. "Local, state and federal. I understand the interconnection."

Tiffany said as a business owner alongside his wife, Chris, he realized the impact that taxes and government regulations have on businesses.
