DALLAS — Two Dallas City Council members accused four of their colleagues of violating the Texas Open Meetings Act by gathering a majority of the city's Housing and Homelessness Solutions Committee behind closed doors without properly notifying the public.
The group was set to discuss potential alternative locations for The Bridge — a homeless shelter in Downtown Dallas — including moving it to the Dallas Executive Airport, said committee chair Cara Mendelsohn, who attended the meeting.
In a statement to WFAA, The Bridge Homeless Recovery Center said it has "no plans to relocate."
