BELMONT COUNTY, OH (WTRF) - Even after the Pumpkin Festival has come and gone, Barnesville will still have another thing to be proud of.
On November 1st, Ohio Magazine will name Barnesville a one of its five best hometowns in the state.
They are recognized as the best places to live, work or visit.
The magazine received nominations in the spring.
They judged the towns on community spirit, education, entertainment, health & safety, business environment and culture & heritage.
They came out, we talked, we had lunch, we got to show them around our town and they were very impressed with it and we were super excited when we were awarded the Best Hometown award."
The magazine's representatives visited Barnesville in late June.
