CHEYENNE — Cheyenne City Council members recently annexed approximately 18 acres of land northwest of Sam’s Club on Dell Range Boulevard to potentially set up for the arrival of a new grocery store, which is expected to be WinCo Foods.

Councilman Mark Rinne announced in his Council Chronicle column Friday that the store is expected to be WinCo.

WinCo Foods Inc. is an employee-owned, warehouse-style American supermarket chain based in Boise, Idaho, with more than 140 stores across 10 states. Locations are mostly found in the western half of the United States, with the exception of a few stores in Oklahoma and Texas.

This would be Wyoming’s first WinCo location.
