WEST MEMPHIS — Darius Irby knows how to turn setbacks into speeches, and last week he told his story in front of the West Memphis City Council.

The 35-year-old, who lost his sight at age 14, asked Mayor Marco McClendon and council members for help finding work. Both Councilwoman Lorraine Mohamed and community leader Dr. Alfred Robinson showed a keen interest in his case while speaking to the council. kAmxC3J C642==65 :? 2? :?E6CG:6H H:E9 %96 %:>6D – E96 AF3=:42E:@?
