EVERETT, Wash. — A fatal motorcycle collision has caused a partial closure of Interstate 5 southbound near the Everett Mall early Wednesday morning.
The Washington State Patrol (WSP) first reported the collision just after 4 a.m. Wednesday. Trooper Kelsey Harding said the closure will be extended while the crash and scene are investigated.
No estimated time for fully reopening the roadway has been released by officials.
Just before 6 a.m. Wednesday, the Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) said the two left lanes and the HOV lane are now blocked.
The roadway was reopened just after 7:15 a.m. Wednesday, WSDOT shared on social media.
