"Multiple" people have been killed in a shooting at a U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) facility in Dallas on Wednesday morning.

Kristi Noem, Secretary of the Department of Homeland Security , said there had been "multiple injuries and fatalities" and that the suspected shooter was found dead by a self-inflicted gunshot wound.

"While we don’t know motive yet, we know that our ICE law enforcement is facing unprecedented violence against them. It must stop. Please pray for the victims and their families," she said in a post on X .

Police have yet to confirm details of the attack, but local ABC affiliate WFAA reported that two ICE detainees were killed and one person was injured in the shooting.
