Benedictine, St. Ignatius rivalry more than 20 years in the making: Week 6 football games to watch on Cleveland’s east side

CLEVELAND, Ohio — It has been 21 years since Benedictine and St. Ignatius met on a football field.

They regularly played for decades, including the Charity Games for 20 years at the old Municipal Stadium. Their rivalry ended in 1990 with only one more meeting in 2004.
