Bargain retailer Aldi is set to hire 4,500 staff in the run-up to Christmas in a major boost to Britain's job market. The German family-owned supermarket chain said it was also preparing for future expansion plans. ‌

The budget-friendly store said it is looking to hire a range of permanent positions to help replenish stock and help customers during the busy festive period. It also said roles — including store assistants, managerial positions and cleaners — will be needed into 2026. ‌
