Shillong, Sep 24: Malki secured a 1-0 victory against bottom side Nongrim Hills in the Shillong Premier League 2025 at the SSA Stadium at First Ground, Polo, here today.

Ribanshan Marpna scored the only goal of the day in the 68th minute. The victory lifted Malki out of the relegation zone and up to sixth place in the standings.

This was the last match to be played of Round 5. It had originally been scheduled for 12 September but had to be called off due to heavy rain and waterlogging of the pitch on that day.

This was also the first game of the SPL after a break of more than a week and the two sides were a little rusty to begin with. Neither side could find the mark as they struggled to convert promising chances into real attempts on goal.
