OMAHA, Neb. (KOLN) - A Lincoln man was arrested on Sept. 11 following a child enticement sting.

Between July 31 and Sept. 11, investigators with the Nebraska State Patrol Investigative Services Division-Technical Crimes Unit conducted online enticement investigations utilizing online social media platforms.

According to court documents, an investigator posed as a 13-year-old girl and began communicating with a user who was later identified as 46-year-old Eric McGregor.

McGregor sent lewd, obscene messages to the investigator for the purpose of engaging in sexual activities, documents allege. McGregor also told the investigator that although he lives in Lincoln, he would travel to Omaha to meet with the 13-year-old girl, the arrest affidavit shows.
