NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCSC) - A teenager was arrested and another suspect is at large in connection with what North Charleston Police are calling a weapons incident.
The suspect, 16, whose name was not released, is charged with unlawful possession of a firearm by someone under 18 and resisting arrest.
Police say they were dispatched to the area of Oldridge Road just before 1 a.m. Sunday after they got word of two male suspects who were involved in an encounter with the victim.
Said victim, 18, told officers that the suspects began an argument, declaring that “this is [their] street,” before one of the two pointed a handgun at her.
Using a description of the suspects, officers found one who matched and tried to initiate contact.
