A murder suspect, 26-year-old Ty Sage, accused of killing a Gresham teenager, was released on bail on Monday, defying a judge’s order demanding that he remain in custody until his trial.

Sage was arrested in May on second-degree murder and first-degree robbery charges related to the December 4, 2021, death of 15-year-old Lowgunn Ivey in the Columbia Trails apartment complex in Northwest Gresham. At a bail hearing last week, prosecutors presented a case to keep Sage behind bars.
