Police have released a composite sketch of a man they need help identifying in connection to a sexual assault in south Edmonton last month.

Between 9 p.m. and 9:30 p.m. on Aug. 1, officers responded to a report of a sexual assault in the area of Whyte Avenue and Gateway Blvd, police said in a Tuesday media release.

It was reported that a woman was approached by a man she didn’t know and was sexually assaulted. The woman was able to break free from the suspect, who then fled the scene.

Police said investigators have exhausted all avenues in attempting to identify the suspect, and are now seeking tips from the public in an effort to identify the man.

The man is described as a white male in his mid-30s, and had brown hair and a full brown hair. He’s being described as looking ‘disheveled’
