In Tyler Perry's "Beauty In Black," two queens are in a power struggle to be the dominant force over the Bellaire empire.

Throughout Season 2, Part 1, viewers watch Kimmie (Taylor Polidore Williams) ascend from being a casualty of a violent human trafficking operation in the underbelly of Chicago to becoming the wife of Horace (Ricco Ross), the head of an established haircare company.

Their marriage arrangement is mutually beneficial: Kimmie can protect her sister, Sylvie (Bailey Tippen), as well as her friends Rain (Amber Reign) and Angel (Xavier Smalls), who escaped their former lives of working off their debt at the strip club.
