A recent incident at a Coldplay concert has resulted in significant fallout for two executives at a tech company. The event took place in July in Massachusetts, where a video surfaced showing Andy Byron, CEO of Astronomer, and Kristin Cabot, the company's chief people officer, appearing on the concert's "kiss camera." In the video, Cabot covered her face while Byron ducked down when they realized they were being filmed. Coldplay's lead singer, Chris Martin, humorously remarked, "Either they’re having an affair or they’re very shy."

The video quickly gained traction on social media, amassing over 130 million views on TikTok. Following the public scrutiny, both Byron and Cabot resigned from their positions at Astronomer. Reports indicate that both were "technically" married at the time of the incident. However, sources revealed that Cabot and her husband, Andrew, were undergoing an amicable separation and had been living apart for several weeks.

Andrew Cabot was also present at the concert, accompanied by a date who is now his girlfriend. A source close to the situation stated that there was no affair between Byron and Cabot, describing their relationship as a "great friendship." The source added, "She wasn’t hiding. She doesn’t know why she ducked. She knew it was inappropriate to behave that way with her boss as the head of HR."

Another source emphasized that while Cabot accepted responsibility for her actions, the consequences she faced were disproportionate. "It was inappropriate to be hugging your boss at a concert, and she accepts full responsibility for it. But the scandal, the downfall, the loss of the job — all of that is unfair," the source said.

In the wake of the incident, Astronomer appointed actress and businesswoman Gwyneth Paltrow as a temporary spokesperson. Paltrow addressed the public in a satirical video, acknowledging the surge of interest in the company and assuring viewers that Astronomer would continue to focus on its core mission of delivering results in data workflow automation.

Cabot filed for divorce on August 13, according to court documents. Meanwhile, Byron's wife has reportedly left their home and removed her last name from social media. Since the video went viral, Cabot has faced severe backlash, including hundreds of death threats. A source described the level of hostility directed at her as "unfathomable."
