The owners of two Iowa City massage parlors were arrested after an investigation allegedly uncovered 90-hour work weeks, prostitution and millions in laundered money.

Junping Ren, 56, and Zhenshi Liu, 60, have been charged with prostitution, pimping, money laundering, pandering for prostitution and ongoing criminal conduct, an organized crime-related charge for participating in a business that is laundering money, according to an Iowa City Police Department news release.

Ren and Liu were arrested on Tuesday, Sept. 23.

Ren and Liu owned two Paradise Spa locations at 1901 Broadway St. and 805 S. First Ave. in Iowa City.
