CHICAGO, Ill. (NBC Chicago) -- Chicago Bears quarterback Caleb Williams has been named NFC Offensive Player of the Week for the first time in his career.
Williams threw for 298 yards and four touchdowns in a 31-14 win over the Dallas Cowboys Sunday, putting together one of the best performances of his professional career in the victory.
His four-touchdown performance also earned free hot dogs for Bears fans at The Wieners Circle on Tuesday, with lines stretched around the block for the giveaway.
According to Pro Football Reference, Williams is the first Bears player to win the award since wide receiver D.J. Moore did so during the 2023 season, and he’s just the third Bears quarterback to win in the last decade, joining Mitchell Trubisky (2018) and Justin Fields (2022) in that catego
