LINCOLN, Neb. (KOLN) - A man was sentenced Wednesday for sexually assaulting two minors in Lancaster County over the course of several years.

Armando Medrano, 54, pled no contest and was found guilty of first-degree sexual assault and third-degree sexual assault of a child.

Medrano was sentenced to 23 to 33 years behind bars with 440 days credit for time served. He will also be required to register as a sex offender. After his release from prison, he will begin a lifetime term of supervised release.

Court documents show one count of third-degree sexual assault of a child and one count of tampering with witnesses or informants were dismissed after he took a plea deal.
