Ole Miss football coach Lane Kiffin has responded to the public acknowledgement of his daughter's relationship with an LSU football star ahead of the Rebels' game against the Tigers this Saturday.

A social media post from Landry, Lane's daughter, went viral on Monday as she revealed she dates LSU linebacker Whit Weeks . During a media availability on Wednesday, Lane shared his first public comments on the relationship.

"Whit’s an awesome kid and comes from a great family, and glad those two are happy together," Lane said. "It has nothing to do with the game itself, and so it’s a really great family, and I think a lot of people got to see that probably on the SEC special where they were hunting with the family."
