MONSON, Mass. (WGGB/WSHM) - We’re a few months away from the 150th annual Westminster Dog Show and, this year, western Massachusetts is being represented.

“It is the Super Bowl of dog shows,” said Judy Harrington of Monson.

For the fifth time, Harrington has been selected for the highest honor in dog competition: a spot as a judge for the globally recognized Westminster Dog Show and she explained her beginnings were far from a walk in the park. “I wanted a Great Dane early on. Parents said, ‘When you want something that big, you’ll have your own place,’ so that’s what I did. My initial dog showing began with my Great Danes,” she added.
