Jessica Chastain is not happy about Apple’s decision to pull her political thriller The Savant from its lineup in response to the killing of conservative activist Charlie Kirk.

“I value my partnership with Apple. They’ve been incredible collaborators and I deeply respect their team,” the Oscar winner wrote to Instagram, but “we’re not aligned on the decision to pause the release.” She added, “While I respect Apple’s decision to pause the release for now, I remain hopeful the show will reach audiences soon.”

The series was originally scheduled to premiere with two episodes on Friday, but an Apple TV+ spokesperson told The Hollywood Reporter on Tuesday, “After careful consideration, we have made the decision to postpone The Savant,” though they vaguely indicated the series may be release
