HENDERSON, Ky. (WEHT) -- A fatal crash has been reported in Madisonville involving a vehicle hitting a pedestrian.

Police say Kristy Padilla was hit by a vehicle near North Main Street and I-41. Officers say crews on scene provided life saving measures before Padilla was transported to Baptist Health.

Padilla was then flown to an Evansville hospital where she was pronounced dead. Police say the driver of the vehicle that struck could not have avoided Padilla
