PORTLAND, N.Y. (ABC22/FOX44) - Rutland City police said Wednesday that a man wanted for an April murder was arrested during a traffic stop by New York State Troopers.

Terrence L. Biggs Jr, 25, of Warren, Michigan, was reportedly speeding on Interstate 90 in Portland, New York. When troopers stopped him at 2:35 a.m. Wednesday they found that he had an active arrest warrant in relation to the April 22 shooting death of Austin T. Rodriguez - with previous coverage below.

Biggs was arrested on that warrant and another for assault from Florida. He was taken to Chautauqua County Jail and is being held pending extradition back to Vermont.
