EAST RUTHERFORD - Jaxson Dart wants to lift the New York Giants out of this losing malaise, a three-game struggle to begin his rookie campaign.
If you think Dart is here to save anything - the offense, the season, his head coach's job, the franchise - that's just not the way the quarterback sees it as he prepares to start Sunday against the Chargers.
"That word or that phrase doesn't really go in my head," Dart said, responding to a question as to whether he feels like he has to be a savior for the 0-3 Giants. "I feel like as a unit on the field, especially as an offense, everybody has to be in sync. There can't just be attention on one guy to carry the load of everything. It's got to be collectively as a unit."
Don't think for a second that Dart does not appreciate the weight of the
