KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Do you enjoy deer hunting or watching them? Do you have a desire to help manage private land for deer?

The Missouri Department of Conservation (MDC) is inviting deer hunters, landowners, managers, wildlife watchers, and others interested in Missouri’s white-tailed deer to a community open house in the Kansas City area.

Staff from MDC will be available to share information about deer management and regulations, impacts chronic wasting disease (CWD) and epizootic hemorrhagic disease on deer populations, managing private land for deer and a Deer Management Assistance Program. Also, MDC staff will update new information on CWD and how they are working with hunters, landowners and other partners to minimize the threat of CWD on the Missouri deer population.
