An Edinburgh Ryanair flight was forced to divert with passengers landing '120 miles from their destination'.
Ryanair flight FR3646 left the Scottish capital at around 1.30pm this afternoon, Wednesday, September 23 and was set to land in Milan around 5pm, reports Edinburgh Live.
However, due to thunderstorms near Milan, Scots holidaymakers were forced to land at Bologna airport and landed around 6.30pm.
Ryan said the plane landed around 120 miles from their destination but confirmed they had arranged transport for passengers to get them to their destinations.
A Ryanair spokesperson said: "This flight from Edinburgh to Milan Bergamo (23 Sept) diverted to Bologna due to Thunderstorms at Milan Bergamo Airport.
