One or more collared gray wolves visited northwestern Mesa County during the last month.

The latest monthly map released by Colorado Parks and Wildlife showed collared wolf activity just northwest and west of Grand Junction.

One or more collared wolves also were detected in most of Garfield County at times during the month, and also in southwest Rio Blanco County and in the eastern part of the county as far west as Meeker.

Just a month earlier, the farthest west in Colorado that any collared wolves were present was in eastern Delta County.

Parks and Wildlife says that wolves continue to make broad movements across many western counties.
