BATON ROUGE, La. (WAFB) - Baton Rouge leaders say brighter streets are on the way as the city continues its “Lighting up Baton Rouge” initiative.

Mayor-President Sid Edwards announced Wednesday, in a press release, that Entergy crews recently installed 407 LED street lamps in the Scotlandville area. The new lights replace older high-pressure sodium bulbs as part of a collaboration between the City-Parish, Together Baton Rouge, and District 3 Public Service Commissioner Davante Lewis.
