PBS North is cancelling its long-running program, Almanac North, which comes after federal funding for public television was slashed by the Trump Administration.
"This decision comes after careful consideration of our programming priorities and the evolving landscape of public media," the station said. "With shifts in available funding and a need to focus resources where PBS North can provide the greatest community impact."
"PBS North has determined that now is the right time to bring the program to a close," it added.
A live, weekly half-hour program featuring "dynamic conversations with local leaders, experts, and noteworthy figures," Almanac North has been a fixture on PBS North since 1992, according to the Duluth News Tribune.
