Skateboarding legend Tony Hawk's "900" skateboard from the 1999 X Games has sold for over $1 million, an amount that Julien's Auctions says is record-breaking.
The original Birdhouse Falcon 2 "900" skateboard sold for $1.15 million Wednesday, which set a new benchmark for skateboarding memorabilia, according to Julien's Auction.

"We are honored to witness him make history once again, and extend our gratitude to Tony Hawk, the Loews Hollywood Hotel, and to every bidder who made this day unforgettable," Julien's Auction said on a social media post .
