Julian's Justice and The Edgewood Foundation will host an anonymous gun drop-off event to prevent youth gun violence from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. today at Grace Christian Church, 5010 Monticello Rd. in Columbia.

The drop-off event is being held to honor Julian Keel, a 16-year-old student and football player at W.J. Keenan High School who was shot and killed on June 2, 2024, in the Colonial Village parking lot while leaving a graduation party.

Julian's Justice and The Edgewood Foundation are partnering with the Columbia Police Department and the Richland County Sheriff's Department to ensure the safe retrieval of weapons during the event and individuals wishing to participate should follow the drop-off instructions listed below:
