In observance of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, which is recognized in October, DHR Health Oncology Institute will be hosting a “Walk and Talk with a Doc,” event.

The free event will be held at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 2, at the DHR Health Heart Institute parking lot which is located at 5525 Doctors Drive in Edinburg.

Before the walk kicks off attendees will hear from Dr. Jose Cruz, a board-certified medical oncologist and hematologist; Dr. Cera Kroenke, a board-certified general surgeon and Dr. Lyuba Levine, a dual board-certified gynecologic oncologist who will talk about the importance of prevention, early detection and treatment options for breast and gynecological cancers.
