HILLSBORO, N.D. — A proposed dairy near Hillsboro has received a Concentrated Animal Feeding Operation permit from the North Dakota Department of Environmental Quality.

Riverview , the company proposing the Hillsboro dairy and another near Abercrombie, was given the Hillsboro permit based on consideration of public comments and a comprehensive application review, a press release from the NDDEQ said. The department reviewed a detailed information package, which included a fact sheet outlining key permit features, such as a clay liner for manure storage areas, the release said.
