LASALLE, Co. (KTAL/KMSS) – A Shreveport native and Loyola prep graduate made a 381 yard drive in the World Long Drive World Championships.

Jack Smith is a NWLA native who graduated from LSU in 2022 with a degree in Biology but his superskill seems to be long drives across the green. Smith is currently ranked fifth place in the Men's Open Division of the WLD World Championship taking place at Bigfoot Turf Farm in Colorado from September 25-27.

Bringing together more than 120 of the world's best long drivers, WLD is the largest annual domestic professional golf event, not associated with the PGA of America, PGA Tour or the LPGA.

Winner walk away with the coveted World Championship belt, world ranking points, and an "enhanced purse" to close the season.
