SEQUATCHIE COUNTY, Tenn. (WDEF) — The 12th Judicial District Children’s Advocacy Center is speaking out following the indictment of its former executive director on theft-related charges.

Kelli Craig, who served as executive director until December 17, 2024, was indicted Monday, September 22, 2025, in Sequatchie County.

The charges stem from an investigation that began earlier this year and involved the CAC’s financial operations.

In a public statement, CAC officials confirmed that law enforcement had previously conducted investigative activity at the center.

However, at this time, there is no confirmed evidence that state or federal grant funds were misused.

The Board of Directors has launched a full financial review with assistance from its treasurer and external overs
