Police have provided a description and released images of a suspect in the shooting of a man in Grimsby near the border of Stoney Creek Wednesday evening.

Niagara Regional Police also provided a description of the vehicle believed to have been involved.

At 7:45 p.m., police were called to the area of Kelson Avenue North and South Service Road.

Police described a vehicle related to the crime as a late-2000s to mid-2010 grey or silver sedan with tinted windows and a tinted sunroof. Niagara Regional Police

Police said the victim was taken to a trauma centre for serious injuries that were not life-threatening. Police confirmed the victim is older than 18, but said they would not be providing any other identifiers in an effort to protect his safety.
