CONWAY, Ark. — The University of Central Arkansas announced that a portion of "The Aids Memorial Quilt" will be on display in UCA's Reynold Hall lobby from Oct. 6-31.
According to UCA, the exhibition will feature two 12' x 12' blocks that are meant to honor the Arkansans that were lost to AIDS.
The opening reception and remembrance tribute will be hosted on Tuesday, Oct. 21 at 1:40 p.m. at the performance hall. The ceremony will be hosted by the College of Arts, Humanities, and Social Sciences.
As part of the ceremony of Oct. 21, there will be a poetry reading by Laureate Kai Coggin and the unveiling of a new quilt panel by fashion designer Korto Momolu.
