SALT LAKE CITY – The Mr. Mac Utah County High School Player of the Week is awarded each week to the top prep football players in Utah County. It honors athletes for their performances on the gridiron and exceptional play. Our winner this week was Lone Peak High School quarterback Cruz Christensen.

Christensen and the Lone Peak Knights hosted Corner Canyon High School in a highly-anticipated Region 3 showdown last Friday. Aided by a relentless defense that forced the Chargers into five turnovers, Christensen and the Knights’ offense capitalized early and often on their way to a statement 42-21 victory.
