HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) -- An investigation is underway after a man was stabbed to death in southwest Houston on Thursday, according to law enforcement.

The Houston Police Department said officers were dispatched to a home at 1:30 p.m. on Broadhurst Drive.

Authorities believe that five people were inside the home, where an argument between two men led to the deadly stabbing.

Upon arrival, police said they found the man dead at the scene. HPD said a suspect, who has not been identified, was arrested near Almeda Elementary, which is located close to the scene, after the school alerted HISD police.

He was then taken into custody.

Details are limited to what led up to the argument. The relationship between the suspect and the victim is unclear.
