Staten Island man who attacked Applebee’s staff after meltdown in restaurant might avoid prison

STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — A Staten Island man accused of starting a brawl at his local Applebee’s after becoming irate over a sporting event has been offered a way to avoid prison.

Tylor Westcott, 27, of Lincoln Avenue in Midland Beach, pleaded guilty over the summer to second-degree attempted assault in connection with the April 19 incident, court records indicate.
