Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth sparked questions online after ordering hundreds of generals and admirals to gather on short notice.

The Washington Post exclusively reported Thursday that the Pentagon has summoned U.S. military officials to a meeting, without stating a reason, scheduled for Tuesday at a Marine Corps base in Quantico, Virginia. The move — which is highly unusual — was sent to almost all of the military’s top commanders across the world, according to over a dozen people familiar with the matter who spoke to the outlet.
