The human remains of a woman who has been missing from Bothell since June were discovered by Mason County deputies earlier this month, the county sheriff’s office confirmed.
The woman, 27-year-old Mallory Barbour, was last seen on June 24 leaving her home in the Pioneer Hills/Morningside area of Bothell. She was first reported missing to the Bothell Police Department weeks later, on July 16, according to KIRO 7 .
Family and friends close to Barbour told police told police it was “out of character” for her to be away from home for that long without any contact.
Barbour’s body “was located on timber land in the State Route 3 and Pickering Rd area of Mason County,” the Mason County Sheriff’s Office wrote. “Indications at the scene show the female died from homicidal violence.”
