Declining membership, financial sustainability led to closings of 2 Cumberland County churches headed to auction: Church

Two former church buildings with long histories are headed to auction due to declining membership and financial sustainability, according to the Susquehanna Conference of the United Methodist Church.

Wesley United Methodist Church at the corner of East Simpson and South Filbert Streets at 211 S. Filbert St. in Mechanicsburg will be auctioned off onsite at 6 p.m. Thursday (tonight).
