Paige Spiranac showed her frustration again this week, defending Bryson DeChambeau after Golf Channel analyst Brandel Chamblee criticized the two-time major winner.

Chamblee, known for his sharp takes, mocked DeChambeau’s social media ventures and branded him a “circus barker,” “odd duck,” and even a “captain’s nightmare.”

The comments quickly got attention online. Spiranac, who has dealt with a lot of criticism herself, wasn’t having it.

“Brandel saying Bryson is a ‘captain’s nightmare’ is such a weird take,” Spiranac wrote on X. “He’s the perfect person for this type of team event. He gets the people going! Will be fun to watch his matches this week.”
