ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. —

A Children, Youth and Families Department employee was charged after police responded to a juvenile being hit.

State police responded to the CYFD facility on Indian School Road NE for a report a staff member hitting a 16-year-old female. The teen said she had been arguing with Dajae Robinson, 32, all day on Tuesday, Sept. 23.

The responding officer learned a chase ensued after the teen said her and another juvenile ran towards an ambulance, according to court documents. This led to her stating Robinson choked and threw punches.

The teen was found to be bleeding from her lip and was later transported to a hospital with minor injuries.
