BLAIR, Neb. (KTIV) - Earlier this week, a body was recovered from the Missouri River near a Nebraska town. That body has now been identified as a man authorities have been searching for since Memorial Day weekend.

The Washington County Sheriff’s Office says the body they recovered on Monday, Sept. 22, was Colton James Boynton of Blencoe, Iowa. He had been missing since a barge vs boat crash along the Monona County, Iowa area of the Missouri River.

Boynton was found north of Blair, a town in Washington County, Nebraska, after reports came in of a body in the river. According to the sheriff’s office, the body was near river marker post 655, several miles south of the boating accident he was involved in.
